Humanity First to Assist Victims of Hurricane Eta and Iota

Hurricane Eta – a category 4 storm has left a path of destruction in Central America. Multiple communities are entirely isolated and inaccessible due to landslides and road damage. Assessments estimate that at least seven countries have been impacted by the storm. Hurricane Eta has greatly damaged, destroyed and flooded several communities and health facilities in Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala leaving over 2 million affected by the Hurricane.

At the request of the Ministry of Health Honduras and the World Health Organization (WHO), Humanity First Canada is sending an Emergency Medical Team (EMT) of doctors and logistics volunteers with medical supplies and clean drinking water filtration systems. The team has already departed from Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday, November 16, 2020.
