4. How We Use Donor Personal Information

HFC never sells or rents donor Personal Information to other organizations.

  • Electronic Donations: When you donate electronically through our website, your information is transmitted directly to our PCI DSS-compliant payment processor, Global Payments Inc. HFC does not store your credit card information. Global Payments Inc. may use your data to process the transaction and comply with regulatory requirements, according to their own privacy policies. If you later respond to an HFC mail solicitation, your contact information (including mailing and email addresses) may be used for HFC communications.
  • Mail Solicitations: If you respond to donation solicitations by mail, your information may be shared with the HFC marketing team. You always have the option to opt out of these lists.
  • Face-to-Face and Telemarketing: Information collected by face-to-face canvassers is never shared. Telemarketing lists may be shared, depending on whether you have previously opted out.
